What are the responsibilities and job description for the College and Career Program Specialist position at Napa County Office Of Education?
The job of College and Career Program Specialist is done for the purpose/s of assisting students in utilizing career and workforce preparation resources; developing cooperative relationships with local businesses and industry partners; coordinating career development field trips; implementing work-based soft skills learning workshops; networking with community partners; organizing and publicizing college and career related events; proctoring industry certification tests; and preparing and presenting student workshops, presentations, instructional materials and student assessments.
This Job reports to Assigned Supervisor
The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. NCOE partners with the five public school districts in Napa County on a variety of programs and issues. NCOE also operates numerous federal and state grants including a robust AmeriCorps program and state-wide projects supporting Special Education students. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in job-related area
• CPR/First Aid Certificate
• Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required in college and career counseling of secondary students in an educational setting
