What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeping Assistant position at Narrator Inc.?
Scope: The Assistant Bookkeeper carries out assigned accounting tasks with a high level of attention to detail. They assist in maintaining accurate financial records through diligent data entry, they identify and escalate issues or discrepancies to senior team members as needed, and they ensure data integrity.
Duties:
- Data entry
- Complete QB reconciliation, elevating questions to higher level leaders
- Allocate transactions as directed, elevating questions to leadership as needed
- Issue reports, as directed
- Provide administrative support, as needed
- Accurately input invoices into QB with proper line categorization
- Accurately input new vendors into QB
- Follow SOPs, as outlined by leadership
- Collaboration and communication with department leaders
- Communicate with vendors in a timely and respectful manner
- Complete filing, as directed
Qualifications:
- Must be QuickBooks proficient
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (i.e. GAAP)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
- No weekends
