NAS Electronics is an exciting, growing company with an energetic, positive, can-do culture. We’re looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable SMT Operator with a strong technical skillset to join our Henderson-based team.
Responsibilities
- Able to run entire SMT lines independently including startup, setup, loading of recipes, adjusting conveyor belts, operation, shutdown, and alarms for Pick & Place machines, ovens, paste printers, and conveyors/buffers
- Perform minor machine adjustments such as measurement of components, part placement, pickup locations, change or correct package size, and clearing machine jams or stoppages
- Visually verify surface mount assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards
- Maximize machine uptime and minimize machine down-time
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department team-lead or manager
- Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance tasks and notify our maintenance technician of machine malfunctions
- Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
- Make recommendations for process and company improvements
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
- 3 years' experience operating SMT lines
- 5 years' experience in reading and interpreting diagrams and schematics
- Expert understanding of SMT components, equipment, and processes (SOPs)
- Advanced soldering skills not required but preferred
