The Sr. Operations Analyst role within the Global Index Business Services team focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and managing change to support the growing Index business.

This position involves evaluating business needs, analyzing current operations, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending optimization strategies. The Operations Analyst collaborates with management, various Index teams, and partners such as Legal, Compliance, and Marketing to develop strategic frameworks and ensure scalable processes that drive organizational growth and deliver consistent value to stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes partnering with Index Technology for release management, ensuring that future Index Platform and business releases are accompanied by impact assessments and change management plans for end-users and external clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess business needs in complex and evolving situations, structuring operational frameworks that align with Index’s strategic objectives and business goals.
  • Conduct detailed evaluations of operational processes and systems using observations, data reports, and stakeholder interviews to uncover inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and propose process enhancements to streamline operations, improve productivity, and enhance overall business performance.
  • Take full ownership of operational improvements by defining project scope, establishing clear timelines, and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Develop polished, data-driven reports, presentations, and dashboards with compelling visualizations to support recommendations and decision-making.
  • Partner with the Index Technology team to coordinate release management activities and ensure smooth deployment of platform enhancements.
  • Create impact assessments to evaluate how projects affect end-users and develop comprehensive change management plans to drive successful adoption.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges to change initiatives, address stakeholder concerns, and foster open communication to support a seamless transition.
  • Develop structured communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, and training materials to ensure effective change implementation across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Management Office to prioritize recommendations, ensure seamless project execution, and embed change management into broader project plans.

Education, Certification and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in operations analysis, professional services, or a similar field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Finance, Operations, or a similar discipline.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, facilitate cross-functional coordination, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Great attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate, and data-driven deliverables.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills.

Skills Needed:

  • Diagnose operational issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
  • Assess complex and ambiguous challenges, distill key insights, and define actionable next steps to scope work effectively.
  • Structure broad and undefined requests, bringing clarity and organization to business needs that may not fit into a traditional project or program framework.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, in both written and verbal formats.
  • Partner with diverse stakeholders to drive key decisions, define desired outcomes, and determine implementation plans.
  • Understand business operations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and the financial implications of operational changes.
  • Analyze data with strong problem-solving skills to drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Engage with individuals and stakeholders at all levels of the organization, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Independently develop solutions for moderate to complex business challenges and present detailed, well-structured recommendations.
  • Adapt to various roles based on business needs, leveraging expertise in project management, business process improvement, and change management.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships across teams within Index and Nasdaq, fostering trust and effective collaboration.

This position offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (2 days a week in office), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
