Our company is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team! You will be responsible for all daily accounting functions in AP and AR for our company. The primary responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, posting all incoming payments, making daily deposits, contacting customers for collections, and processing driver’s paperwork and vendor invoices daily. Must be able to keep precise records of all incoming and outgoing payments. Perform administrative and routine clerical tasks such as organizing, filing, multi-tasking, and supporting other staff.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Track and record customers deliveries
- Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
- Perform all other office tasks like filing, mail processing, and phone support
General Summary of Duties and Talents needed:
- Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely fashion
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- Maintain precise records of all incoming payments
- Prepare and send invoices to clients
- Contact clients as needed to ensure payment of outstanding invoices
- Reconcile any irregularities in receipts
- Work collaboratively with others
- Greet visitors in a professional manner
- Provide visitors with information and direct them accordingly
- Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party
- Process, sort, and route incoming and outgoing mail
- Perform other administrative support tasks, including updating and sorting files, drafting and proofreading correspondence, and conducting research
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
