Responsible for the effective and efficient performance of the clerical activities related to the department.20 hours per week.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Maintain files for the department chairs and instructors as requested.Type memos, letters, handouts, and tests as needed using word processing.Maintain current course outlines and curriculum standard file in the office of the department chair.Greet and assist visitors and students.Maintain an organized budget file for the departments.Maintain an inventory of office and instructional supplies for the department and order as needed.Assist with advisory committee meetings, other departmental meetings and events.Assist with switchboard, Math Tank, Science STILL, and Math Assessment Center relief.Collect timesheets for student tutors and lab assistants.Initiate and answer telephone calls and video conference calls.Pick-up department mail from mailroom and sort in faculty boxes.Participate in professional development activities provided by NCC.Participate in College events and activities.Initiate and answer telephone calls and video conference calls.Perform other duties as assigned which contribute to the efficient and effective operation of NCC.Serve on various committees as assigned.Participate in and support ongoing assessment, planning and evaluation to improve student learning.
