What We Stand For and Where You'll Come In We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Manager (Pest Control) to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring cleaning and sanitation protocols as well as pest control measures across all Nassau Candy manufacturing plants, equipment, and distribution centers nationwide. This role ensures compliance with Food Safety and OTC regulations, maintaining excellence in hygienic environments for all Local, State, Federal, Customer, and internal Inspection Standards. Reporting to the VP of R&D and Technical Services, this position plays a pivotal role in ensuring product quality, integrity, and safety.

How You'll Make An Impact
Sanitation Protocols:
- Develop, implement, and maintain Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) that comply with FSMA, SQF, Customer, 3rd Party, and Internal requirements.
- Manage, update, and monitor the Master Cleaning Schedule for plant & equipment, ensuring all frequencies and tasks are completed and adhered to.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation and pest control protocols across all NY facilities.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all sanitation activities, compliance with SSOPs, and pest control measures.
Pest Control Management:
- Manage an effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program to monitor pest activity, identify entry points, and mitigate infestations.
- Perform trend analysis and develop proactive action plans to ensure compliance with State, Federal, FSMA, SQF, Customer, and internal guidelines.
Training and Compliance:
- Conduct ongoing training for employees on proper sanitation practices, personal hygiene, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes in FSMA Regulations, FDA, cGMP, SQF guidelines, and company Food Safety HACCP plans.
- Participate in audit preparations and inspections by Customers and Regulatory bodies, including SQF, FDA, and NY State.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Directly manage all companywide Sanitation and Pest Control personnel and activities, including scheduling and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with QA/QC and Operations teams to align sanitation efforts with overall food safety goals.
- Support production planning needs during weekdays and weekends.
Inventory and Crisis Management:
- Order cleaning & sanitizing chemicals, PPE, and maintain inventory levels for all plants, offices, and distribution centers.
- Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each chemical used.
- Develop and implement crisis management plans for sanitation breaches or pest infestations, ensuring immediate corrective actions.

- You bring expert knowledge of sanitation guidelines to ensure food safety compliance within a manufacturing facility.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in Food Sanitation and Safety within the food, beverage, or OTC manufacturing/distribution industry.
- You possess strong leadership skills, with experience managing large teams and maintaining schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree (a plus, but not required) in Food Science or a related discipline or equivalent work experience as a Plant Sanitarian.
- You are highly collaborative and excel at building relationships across teams and levels.
- You are self-motivated, disciplined, and can work with minimal supervision.
