Position : Recreation Assistant
Location : Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
Shift : Full-Time | 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $22 per hour
Are you passionate about enriching the lives of others? Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Recreation Assistant to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreation programs.
Observe and document resident participation, mood, and behavior.
Collaborate with residents and families to tailor recreation programs.
Participate in discharge planning and resident assessments.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
Facilitate group and individual activities to enhance resident engagement.
Supervise recreational outings, community walks, and facility events.
Prepare and clean recreation areas for scheduled activities.
Transport residents within the facility to various programs.
Encourage participation in social, physical, and mental wellness activities.
Coordinate with other departments to optimize resident care.
Qualifications :
Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
Ability to make independent decisions as needed.
Willingness to learn and incorporate new recreation methods.
Nursing home experience preferred.
