What we need:
Natco is seeking a team-oriented Shipping and Receiving Order Picker to join our Warehouse and Shipping Department. This is a full-time day shift position based on-site at our West Warwick, RI corporate headquarters and union eligible after 60 days of employment. The primary function of this role will be to read incoming orders and select correct items from the warehouse shelves to fulfill deliveries and to stock inventory as well as handload and unload rugs into trailers. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle the physical demands of lifting heavy materials up to 100 lbs. Must also be a highly motivated individual with a willingness to make an active contribution to the team’s success.
What you’ll do:
- Collect and prepare orders for shipment according to assigned picklist and customer requirements; ensuring product information is accurate and labels match the items as well as the quantity
- Manage and update stock inventory to fill warehouse shelves with finished products
- Inspect shipments and inform the supervisor of any damages, defects, or losses
- Label and ship products in accordance with customers packing guidelines
- Operate a shrink wrap machine
- Hand Load and unload rugs into trailers
- Assist with keeping the warehouse area clean and free of obstruction to maintain a safe work area
- Assist with any other duties or tasks assigned by the Supervisor
What you’ll have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Over one year of work-related skills, knowledge, and experience preferred (training available)
- Ability to speak English preferred
- Basic reading and writing skills required
- Ability to listen and comprehend information and ideas through spoken and written words required
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems and/or SCE (Supply Chain Execution) Systems preferred (training available)
- Ability to handle and lift material and rugs up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to climb heights up to 30 feet using a harness required
- Current and valid Driver’s License required
- Forklift experience preferred (forklift driving possible upon certification)
- Must be motivated and dedicated with a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
