POSITION SUMMARY :
Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing. We measure fetal, tumor, or donor cfDNA at the molecular level to help inform personalized health care decisions with a non-invasive test. Natera R&D is looking for a highly motivated Associate Scientist / Senior Research Associate to join the rapidly growing assay development team to help build the future of Natera. In this position, you will initiate and execute development and validation studies in the Oncology Product Development team. You will support other scientists and laboratory technicians to plan and execute studies under design control in a regulated environment to help improve and expand Natera's oncology product portfolio.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Support assigned technical projects and associated timelines and deliverables in NGS-based assays
- Support planning, design, execution, and reporting of product development studies under the design control quality system
- Collaborate closely with laboratory scientists, automation engineers, biostatisticians, and data scientists within a dynamic R&D team to develop new and innovative molecular diagnostic assays
- Communicate and document experimental data, scientific findings, and provide recommendations to R&D and other functions, including Lab Operations, Product Management, Quality and other groups
- Perform basic data analysis (e.g. JMP, Excel)
- Communicate progress directly with colleagues
- Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA / PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire
- Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
