Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Material Purchaser with experience in ordering construction materials and managing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be proficient in Excel, and be comfortable traveling to job sites to establish and maintain subcontractor connections.
Responsibilities
· Order and manage procurement of construction materials based on project needs.
· Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
· Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and inventory.
· Utilize strong math and Excel skills for budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.
· Travel to job sites to identify and establish relationships with new subcontractors.
· Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
Experience
· Proven experience in construction material purchasing or a related field.
· Strong understanding of construction materials and supplier networks.
· Excellent negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze costs and budgets effectively.
· Willingness to travel to job sites for subcontractor sourcing and relationship-building.
