Job responsibilities:
- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Collect on past due accounts, including writing collection letters and making collection calls
- - Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with preparing audit schedules and support external auditors as needed.
Candidate's requirements:
- Knowledge of Quickbooks is required.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable experience
- Collections experience, including writing collection letters
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
- Experience with financial report writing and analysis.
- Ability to accurately perform 10-key typing for data entry purposes.
- Familiarity with debits and credits and their application in accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
