The Family Program Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reporting various family programming within the organization. The coordinator responds to the resource call line and provides prompt behavioral health resource navigation.
The coordinator provides outreach and referral services through the distribution of materials, information, education, linkage to community services, and prevention messages in individual and / or group settings. Sessions may include phone calls, in-office meetings, virtual meetings, and in community settings
All agency resource and referral calls are routed to the Family Program Coordinator.
This position acts as an advocate for individuals and their families, as appropriate, and encourages and supports self- advocacy. Many of our calls involve complex behavioral health issues. The coordinator works as a liaison between individual / family and criminal justice services, hospitals, mental health facilities, etc.
The coordinator is responsible for documenting program participant sessions, completing program time sheets, completing reports, and other documentation as required by agency and funders.
NAMI PBC offers a host of peer-led support groups, classes, presentations, and other social and support opportunities for families impacted by mental health conditions. The Family Program Coordinator will implement all NAMI family programming at the agency. This includes coordinating, planning, and scheduling programs; ordering program materials; screening participants; facilitating sessions; providing follow-up resources; documenting programs, conducting program evaluation.
This role will coordinate and serve as a trainer / coach for certification sessions, when possible. The coordinator provides support and technical assistance to others implementing programs.
Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for maintain current teacher and support group facilitator databases and inputting program data in appropriate databases.
The coordinator will serve as a tech host assistant during training sessions by facilitating the materials presentation, monitoring chat rooms, polls, questions, and answer sections to support the program leaders during training sessions.
NAMI Florida provides training for volunteers and staff. The coordinator will attend all relevant trainings offered by NAMI Florida as well as any ongoing training that will benefit the agency, program participants, and their families.
A level 2 background check is required for employment at this agency.
