Role Description:
NAICO is looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Workers Compensation OR Property Casualty teams as a Claims Adjuster Trainee. This entry-level role is designed for someone with little to no experience in claims adjusting. As a Claims Adjuster Trainee, you will participate in our excellent training program to learn the ins and outs of the claims adjusting process, including how to investigate claims, assess damage, and determine appropriate settlements.
Upon successful completion of training and milestones, you will have the opportunity to transition into a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Claims Adjuster Trainee, you will:
- Learn how to investigate claims by gathering information, statements, and evidence from insureds, claimants, and other parties.
- Participate in the claims process, including reviewing damages, estimating losses, and assisting in making recommendations for settlement.
- Work with senior claims adjusters to understand how to assess liability and determine appropriate actions for each claim.
- Assist with managing claims files, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and properly filed.
- Develop skills in using industry-standard software and tools (Guidewire, CorVel, Verisk) with support from your trainers.
- Participate in NAICO’s educational courses to improve knowledge and skills in claims adjusting.
- Receive regular feedback from mentors and supervisors to help build your claims adjusting expertise.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Little to no prior experience required; this role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the field.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Suite is a plus.
- Travel: Limited travel required initially.
