As one of the world's largest operating conservation foundations, the Arbor Day Foundation educates and engages stakeholders and communities across the globe to involve themselves in its mission of planting, nurturing and celebrating trees. Our vision is to help others understand and use trees as a solution to many of the global issues we face today, including air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty and hunger.
We are looking for Seasonal Greenhouse Attendants to help us package trees to be delivered to our members and partners across the country.
You Have:
Positive attitude and mindset. You’re happy to take on repetitive work. You enjoy working in an open team setting.
A love for working on your feet. You have the ability to stand/walk for 8 hours a day vs. sitting at a desk, and you are able to lift boxes around 25 lbs. You are willing to work in wet/humid conditions.
A desire to have weekends off. You’re able to work Monday – Friday between 8AM-4PM.
Ability to work in the U.S. If selected, you will be able to provide necessary i9 documentation within 3 days of start date.
You Will:
Reach a common goal. Stay organized and on task to meet business forecasts.
Be a part of a high impact team. From Redbuds to Christmas wreaths, you will ship out a variety of trees to our members across the country.
Spend your days in our Greenhouse or Applehouse. You will be a part of a team assembling the proper packaging for the safe delivery of our trees, in our Greenhouse and Applehouse locations.
Get your foot in the door at a local non-profit doing global work. You will gain valuable work experience that sets you up for other opportunities on our property.
