Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Prepare and review technical accounting reports and documentation.
- Manage Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance and reporting requirements.
- Analyze debits and credits to maintain accurate financial records.
- Multi state tax-form 941
- Support private equity accounting functions, including fund management and reporting.
- Prepare regulatory reporting in accordance with applicable laws and standards.
- Assist in budgeting processes and financial forecasting activities.
- Contribute to corporate finance initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate financial accounting records using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Skills
- Proficient in account reconciliation techniques and practices.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP principles.
- Familiarity with LIHTC regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
- Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger maintenance.
- Experience in private equity accounting is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting standards applicable to the industry.
- Strong budgeting skills with the ability to analyze variances effectively.
- Background in corporate finance with an emphasis on strategic financial planning.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is essential.
