Position Summary:
">Audubon Delta is a regional field office of the National Audubon Society.
">We manage Audubon's conservation and network priorities in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
">This geography includes 81 Important Bird Areas covering more than 16 million acres and over 42,000 Audubon members and supporters.
">Job Responsibilities:
">- Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers for a growing coastal bird stewardship program
- Manage the volunteer application process and maintenance of volunteer records
- Actively recruit with a focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, making connections with local underrepresented communities
- Expand the volunteer program by recruiting new volunteers and cultivating relationships with current volunteers through regular individualized communication
Requirements:
">- Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of professional experience supporting outreach, education, development, marketing/communications
- Experience working with, coordinating, and training volunteers
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people, familiarity with local communities in coastal Mississippi preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
