Job Description
This Administrative Support Specialist role is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clerical work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department, including general clerical, receptionist, and project-based work
- Create and maintain all employee files and our AS400 and filing system
- Assist in posting recruiting ads and providing clerical support for department by updating forms, copying, and filing, mail distribution, meeting scheduling, ordering supplies, etc.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, memorandums, spreadsheets, and databases
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible clerical work experience. Previous experience in an HR department is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS system)
- Bilingual skills are a plus (English, French/Swahili, Creole)
