General Shop Maintenance

National Breaker Services, LLC (Middlebury, CT) is an electrical power industry manufacturer of Medium Voltage Switchgear and a leader in breaker life extension. We design and build electrical equipment for utilities companies throughout the USA. We are looking for the General Shop Maintenance to join our team.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for light maintenance work / building updates.

· Executes regular preventive maintenance to keep machines and equipment running smoothly.

· Operates forklifts and company vehicles to support multiple warehouses and production needs.

· Assembles and sets up machinery and equipment as needed.

· Operates sandblaster, cutters and grinders as required.

· Cross train with other departments to assist when necessary.

· Ability to build crates, pallets and assist in preparations for shipment.

· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize spacing.

· Cleans and maintains shop floor in optimal working condition.

· Follows and complies with quality service standards and procedures.

· Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Basic mechanical experience and electrical knowledge is necessary.

· Own your own tools.

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Works well in team environment.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to details.

· Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

· Be able to work indoors/outdoors.

· Able to maintain confidential information.

· Good time management skills; be able to multi-task.
