SUMMARY
Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Administer Hazardous Waste Disposal program.
- Cleans grease, dirt and blast media from product when present.
- Applies masking tape and/or cardboard over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
- Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.
- Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
- Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
- Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
- Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
- Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
- Maintain painting supplies. Keep paint areas clean and organized. Periodically change out spray booth filters

Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
