Job Summary :
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for implementing manufacturing, facilities, policies and programs which guide operations in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. Successful candidates will direct and coordinate these activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Operations Manager experience in a manufacturing weld and fabrication environment is required.
Job Duties :
- Defines and recommends manufacturing & facilities objectives; develops specific short and long range plans and programs together with supporting budget requests
- Directs the manufacture of products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity
- Directs preparation of cost control reports, cost estimates, manpower and facilities requirements forecasts
- Formulates and installs standard manufacturing practices based on comparative studies of methods, costs and production figures
- Establishes, approves, and monitors manufacturing and related subordinate departmental budgets
- Participate as a member of the Quality Assurance Team
- Participate as a member of the Operational Strategic Planning Team
- Devises methods, policies, and procedures to ensure operational objectives are attained
- Monitors quality reports, and ensures process are meeting company quality standards
- Responsible for keeping up-to-date on equipment preventative maintenance, changes, additions, and modifications
- Responsible for the supervision of all employees within assigned departments
- Assign duties to employees, checking their activities at regular intervals to ensure quality work is being performed in a safe and efficient fashion
- Responsible for issuing discipline, in accordance with company work rules
- Participate in meetings associated with operational goals and objectives
- Recommend changes in employee status, including manpower requirements
- Approve employee time cards and authorizes wage allowances in accordance with company policies
- Participate in the Company’s annual inventory count
- Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies

- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time
