SUMMARY: The Project Manager is a results-driven professional with previous experience leading organizational initiatives and projects. Researches, analyzes and implements a rollout of projects and processes to enable and enhance business performance. The Project Manager provides high level and confidential support to the Chief Operating Officer. This position is responsible for a wide range of assignments as part of the Operations team, which is responsible for oversight of corporate administrative and operational services and compliance.
The primary purpose of the project management role is to lead, oversee and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value.
This position has an annual salary range of $70,000-80,000.
LOCATION & SCHEDULE: Position is located at our corporate office in Silver Spring, MD. Schedule is Monday-Friday day shift, hybrid (in office 2 days per week).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides process/project management and operational support to COO and other team members within and outside Operations
Manages end-to-end solutions and implementations to ensure organizational goals are achieved
Manages the development and implementation of processes for program review
Assists in the identification, prioritization and execution of opportunities to create efficiencies aligned to the Operations Division’s goals
Actively leads strategic and process improvement initiatives within Operations and throughout NCC, as necessary.
Develops proposals and business cases with collaborative partners
Assists with the establishment and management of project timelines, risk assessments and budgets
Schedules and coordinates meetings within and across divisions, departments and collaborative partners
Actively leads all projects to ensure they stay on track and within budget thresholds while following accepted project management methods
Researches and recommends new and innovative solutions to execute strategic and tactical initiatives
Determine the objectives and measures upon which the projects will be evaluated at its completion.
Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project(s).
Determine, in collaboration with team members, the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
Manage, develop and track all aspects of project(s), inclusive of milestones and deliverables.
Monitor the progress of the project and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Prepare project status reports and dashboards by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Evaluate the outcomes of the project(s) as established during the planning phase.
Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project(s) activities; revise the schedule as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or a related field
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with operations, program management, or compliance.
Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing successful initiatives
Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring problem solving methods in adaptive situations
Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within an organization
PMP Certificate preferred
Master’s Degree preferred
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Achievement oriented with exceptional ability to oversee complex projects, tight deadlines, as well as manage full project life cycle.
Ability to communicate effectively with professional-level staff and peers.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools.
