Deposit Operations Business Analyst
This position is focused on two primary areas, Deposit Operations Business Analyst and Operations Audit Coordination. The Business Analyst focus will include the implementation, upgrade, maintenance, and administration of non-core software applications relating to Deposit Operations, including wire transfer/ACH, commercial online banking, account analysis, item processing, fraud, and statement delivery. Responsibility includes the ongoing identification of integration opportunities of those systems to deliver maximum efficiency and business value. The position will be responsible for ensuring ongoing Segregation of Duties controls during software implementation and ongoing reviews. The Business Analyst will be responsible for primarily representing the Deposit Operations team in coordinating non-core system upgrades and implementations with IT, other internal departments, and software vendors, from the identification of business process impact/improvement, requirements gathering, testing, and rollout.
Additionally, the incumbent will be engaged in ongoing deposit and cash management product and service enhancement, including continuous process improvement through customer engagement and interaction.
The incumbent is also responsible for assisting with the centralized administration of the Operations teams (Retail Branch Operations, Loan Operations and Deposit Operations) audit and compliance requests for internal and external auditors, compliance auditors, and federal examiners (including Segregation of Duties controls reviews). In addition, the incumbent is responsible for BCP and D/R planning, participation, and documentation surrounding NCB BCP and FDICIA vendor D/R participation.
- Responsible as the Deposit Operations non-core system liaison both internally and with the system providers for all non-core related applications, including Commercial and Retail Online Banking, Wires/ACH, Account Analysis, Item Processing, and Fraud applications. Responsible for non-core system implementations and upgrades in coordination with the internal teams. This will include ensuring test scripts are prepared and executed, trouble-shooting issues, system setup and maintenance, process changes and enhancement request submission/monitoring and software issues resolution. Ensure Segregation of Duties controls during system profile development and ongoing periodic profile reviews. Also, to ensure system setup meets required regulatory guidelines and internal processes are documented. 45%
- Responsible for assisting with the centralized administration of Operations team audit, risk management, and compliance requests for internal and external auditors, compliance auditors, and federal examiners (including Segregation of Duties control reviews). In addition, the incumbent is responsible for BCP and D/R planning, participation, and documentation surrounding BCP and FDICIA vendor D/R participation. 40%
- Collaborate with Deposit Operations teams and other internal business areas (Association Banking, Deposit Production Office, SBU leaders, IT) to define and document business functional requirements and rules for system configurations and upgrades, communicating requirements to the departments and vendors. Deposit Operations IT Liaison for SharePoint Intranet and internal applications (Orrman, TAC) 5%
- Engage with Deposit Operations department managers to proactively identify, assess, and recommend tactical and strategic technology solutions leading to more efficient business processes. Staying abreast of application technologies supporting Deposit Operations business processes and commercial and consumer customer segments. 5%
- Acquire in-depth system user and system admin knowledge. Act as back up to perform system admin duties, including set up and maintenance for internal and external system users. Act as back up to perform user maintenance, unlocks, setup, documentation and monitoring. 5%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of related work experience (Banking, sys admin, audit etc)
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create rapport with different stakeholders
Superior analytical skills and attention to detail in order to analyze development requirements
Detail oriented, able to prioritize and work efficiently on multiple work threads
