Job Overview
Provides support for all customer daily requirements as it pertains to arranging inbound finished good shipments, transfers, reporting and inventory. Act as liaison between customers, warehouses, carriers and other applicable departments.
Duties
- Works closely with customers, vendors, brokers, warehouses, sales and operations to ensure customer orders ship as requested.
- Coordinates with drayage carriers to track the arrival of containers for the week via all US ports, ensuring all scheduled appointments and deliveries are on track.
- Provides updates to internal teams as well as customers on inbound orders and deliveries.
- Responsible for invoicing customers, on time of delivery, and collecting delivery paperwork.
- Processes return orders & credit invoices for product refused by customers
- Audits freight bills and research transportation carrier detention claims disputing if applicable and helping A/R for any adjustments taken by the customer
- Responsible for backing up and assisting others within the department as needed
- Reports Food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
Experience
- HS Diploma/GED and 1-3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, and distribution.
- Experience with refrigerated and frozen food categories is preferred.
- Excellent customer/vendor relations and written/verbal communication skills along with multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience in SAP is preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
