What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Cabling Project Manager position at National Design Group, Inc.?
NDG's Project Manager will be responsible for managing small and large low voltage infrastructure, security and/or small AV projects. The ideal candidate will have previous project management experience of at least 5 years and have a thorough working knowledge of reading RFP'S, blueprints, specifications, contractual language, pricing and project scheduling. Other duties and requirements include:
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly develop SOWs and material lists
- Work efficiently with vendors and construction industry professionals
- Thorough knowledge of copper, coaxial and fiber installations
- Ensures the quality of workmanship, safety and documentation per project.
- If required, initiates disciplinary action for those employees working under him or her.
- Identifying and initiating work-around procedures in maintaining crew productivity during delays.
- Ability to effectively manage a project of at least 10 craft personnel with little or no direction.
- Responsible for the development of detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity schedule and other issues, changes in scope etc. for projects under his/her responsibility
- Ability to work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance. Provides documentation, reports, and information to operations as directed.
- Initiates and monitors installation standards, and technical and supervisory training (OJT) sessions for technicians and junior crewmembers.
- Furthers oneself through ongoing education and certifications including but not limited to corporate or specialty courses.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
