Granite Countertop Installer
Overview: National Design Mart, National Carpet Mill Outlet Granite Countertop Installers are responsible for installing custom granite in homes and businesses.
Requirements
- Previous installation experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
- Ability to follow work order as it is printed.
- Ability to participate effectively as a team member.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Installation
Inspect and clean surface area in preparation for material. Confirm with sales associate and/or project manager on ideal layout and seam placement. Maintain a clean job site at all times, this includes picking up trash and sweeping floors at the end of the day. Communicate any issues with the sales associate and/or project manager.
- Knowledge & Training
Identify personal growth needs and improvement opportunities; seeks to obtain product information. Learn and assist others in learning about products and installation techniques. Communicate effectively with others.
Procedures Followed: Safety, phone, dress code, work order, money handling, mileage and expense reimbursement, special order, delivery, estimating, pricing, filing, calling off, theft control, and others as needed or defined by management.
Physical Aspects
- Standing, walking, and/or driving for up 6 hours consistently.
- Ability to move in, among, and through a variety of construction job sites.
- Occasional lifting, up to 80 lbs.
Equipment Used
- Company vehicle for traveling to various job sites.
- Perform numerical computations using an adding machine and/or calculator.
- Know the functions of and use a variety of building industry related tools.
