Job Site Supervisor
Overview: National Design Mart, National Granite Luxuries/National Carpet Mill Outlet’s Job Site Supervisor is responsible for completing projects; using blueprints and other instructions given to them by the Project Managers. The Job Site Supervisor oversees the labor being performed to ensure the final product meets specifications.
Location: Steele Creek
Requirements
- Previous experience as a flooring installer is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to participate effectively as a team member.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel
Responsibilities
- Monitoring, Safety & Communication (90%)
- Ensures all product at the job site ready to be installed.
- Ensures crews are scheduled and making sure instructions are carried out properly.
- May be responsible for obtaining permits when necessary.
- Ensures the job site is safe and that all crews follow safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Customers, Subcontractors and the Installation Manager to ensure project gets completed on time according to scope.
- Knowledge & Training (10%)
- Identifies personal growth needs and improvement opportunities.
- Seeks to obtain product information
- Learns and assists others in learning and implements processes to improve safety.
- Communicates with others.
Physical Aspects
- Standing, walking, and/or driving for up to 4 hours consistently.
- Ability to move in, among, and through a variety of construction job sites.
- Occasional lifting, up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate computer keyboard, objects, or controls.
- Requires employee to frequently stand, climb, crawl, walk, pull and/or push.
- Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, and ability to adjust focus.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for an extended period of time
Equipment Used
- Completes necessary paperwork using computerized systems (RFMS).
- Completes necessary paperwork using Apple IPad & Company Cam.
- Performs numerical computations using an adding machine and/or calculator.
- Knows the functions of and uses a variety building industry related tools.
