Social Media Manager
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to enhance our online presence and engage our residential and commercial audiences across social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and foster community engagement. You will partner with property management teams to execute strategy with the goal of impacting leasing results. You will serve as a social media champion for the firm and regularly share best practices and new industry trends.
Branding & Messaging
- Ensure site team members are aware of and trained on National Development social media guidelines in terms of branding, content and frequency and up to date on newest social trends and platforms
- Create branded Canva templates for each site to be used on social channels
- Routinely audit residential and commercial social channels to ensure all properties are up to date and on brand
- Develop a program to enhance quality across residential and commercial social channels and establish channel guidelines
Content
- Visit residential and commercial properties on a monthly or bimonthly basis to acquire content (video, photo, etc.) and create postings as needed depending on capacity/capability of individual site teams. Ensure a minimum of two posts per month per property (including at least one reel). Leverage social media give aways and contests to drive followers and engagement
- Create monthly social calendars for each site along with clear expectations of responsibility
- Engage with broader social network (local businesses, community groups, influencers, etc.) to create collaborations, connect to the community and increase followers and engagement
- Engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage community interactions in a timely and professional manner
- Develop and implement a social media hashtag strategy that enhances visibility, engagement and reach
Consistency
- Establish routine (e.g.monthly) review meetings with PMs/team members to review recent performance as well as future postings
- Review engagement metrics with site teams and adjust strategies as needed to optimize engagement and reach
- Host social trainings on current trends and techniques as well as new employee trainings as needed
- Ensure sites are adhering to minimum posting standards
- Create enthusiasm and understanding of social media importance with property management teams while consistently sharing best practices and lessons learned
Industry trends
- Participate in conferences and network with other social media and marketing managers to stay abreast of new trends, techniques and technologies
- Regularly, conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats in the social media landscape
- Serve as social media champion for National Development sharing trends and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, with a portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
