Job Description
National DME, a growing medical equipment logistics company based in Midvale Utah, is looking for a full time customer service representative to join our team. Most calls follow a simple template and do not require a medical biller. Complex calls can be escalated to a medical biller when necessary. National DME has been doing business in the healthcare industry since 1997 and we are still growing so this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a stable company that usually promotes from within. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We provide employer subsidized employee benefits, paid time off and paid holidays. The starting pay for this position is $15.75 per hour.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Taking calls from patients that received medical equipment from National DME
- Answering questions regarding the patient’s bill and medical insurance
- Updating patient records with information obtained during the call
- Processing credit card payments
- Call volume can vary between calls so other duties will be assigned to the CSR, generally related to servicing patient accounts.
- Preferred Qualifications (Most qualifications must be met to be considered):
- 1 year of professional customer service experience
- Ability to type 30 words per minute
- Technical literacy with standard office computer systems and email
- Ability to speak and write professionally
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- An understanding of healthcare terminology is a strong plus
