This full-time position works physically from our office in Louisville, CO. Regular, reliable attendance at our facility is a requirement of this position as there is no remote option available.
NEN, owned by Japan-based arcade company GENDA, is the nation’s dominant amusement vending service provider. Over its 30 year history, NEN has defined front-end retail and restaurant entertainment with a diverse portfolio of offerings including skill-crane games, capsule toy / confection stands, video games, and kiddie rides. NEN has over 55,000 machines in over 15,000 locations across the country.
This person will contribute to our success by performing a variety of General Ledger duties in accordance with GAAP. This person is responsible for operating as a key player of month end closing, maintaining our fixed asset ledger, and performing necessary analytical review; overseeing the inventory management process including serving as the main point of contact and liaison; and by completing daily banking, including duties such as checking bank accounts, deposits, and general management of bank accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
- Prepares journal entries, reconciles financial statements and accounts, and ensures data accuracy in accordance with GAAP
- Plays a key role in month end closing, preparing periodic reporting schedules and disclosures, and in the year end audit process
- Reviews and maintains fixed asset general ledger in accordance with GAAP
- Works closely with accounting manager and controller regarding capitalization policies for installations, refurbishments and replacement of fixed assets
- Processes monthly machine inventory scans and report results to management
- Performs analytical review as required, including researching variances between actual expense activities and budgets
- Prepares weekly and monthly vehicle fleet invoices for processing
- Performs monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned accounts
- Identifies process and internal control weaknesses and works with management to develop and implement solutions
- Serves as back-up for other general ledger accountants, including generating and maintaining financial statement reports
- Performs other duties as assigned
