Traveling Meter Service Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will travel to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain various sub-metering equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will be willing to train, have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, a customer-focused attitude, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
· Conducting diagnostic tests on equipment to identify issues.
· Repairing or replacing defective parts.
· Performing routine maintenance on equipment.
· Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely and quality repairs.
· Providing excellent customer service during service calls.
· Documenting all work performed and parts used.
· Following all safety procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Ability to lift 50-80 lbs. or work in a crawl space.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
· Willing to travel 80% of the time and work outside.
· Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
· Customer service-oriented with good communication skills.
· Valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record.
Bonus Points:
· Certification from a technical school or apprenticeship program is a plus.
· Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
· Experience as a service technician or in a similar role.
· Knowledge of Utility Billing Service.
