The National Flight Academy (NFA) is seeking a highly motivated person to oversee operations of our youth STEM programs, including managing staff, ensuring the safety of our students, and hiring and training of seasonal employees.
Position Title: Program Coordinator
Salary Position: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, weekends occasionally
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Operations
- Ensure the standards for safety, security, hygiene, and emotional welfare of staff and participants
- Ensure consistency and educational integrity of program delivery
- Ensure program schedules and activities optimize time, staffing needs, and space for all departments involved
- Respond to parent questions and complaints promptly and in a manner that reflects the mission, vision, and
spirit of National Flight Academy
- Must have knowledge of the educational program development and NFA storyline
Program Organization and Staffing
- Responsible for program employee selection, program orientation, training, evaluation, and discipline
- Ensure program staff receives timely and appropriate training
- Ensure program staff follow all NFA policies and procedures as well as departmental guidelines
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of tasks assigned to program staff
- Formally and regularly communicate with Program staff, all relevant and appropriate operational information
- Ensure staffing schedules optimize productivity and comply with contractual obligations
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Must be flexible as requirements may change due to programmatic needs
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required)
- Experience: 2 years’ experience in a related educational environment; leadership/management experience
- Skills: Leadership, communication, customer service
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with the general public, parents, students, and program staff in a professional manner
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Creativity: Ability to create and implement innovative ideas and program activities
- Guest Engagement: Commitment to exceptional guest satisfaction; collect feedback for continuous improvement
- Dependable and dedicated work ethic
