Hybrid Position to Atlanta or San Diego, Full Time, Monday-Friday 8 : 00-4 : 30 Pacific Time

JOB SUMMARY :
We are looking for a Head of Data Science who shares our vision of building sophisticated risk models to advance small business lending. In this role you will lead a team to develop best-in-class credit risk, fraud, verification, and lead response models. The candidate is expected to have a strong data science background, statistical expertise, strong machine learning experience, and a passion for solving problems in innovative ways to drive business results.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Build and manage a team to develop best-in-class machine learning models for managing credit and fraud risks, pricing optimization, and sales lead routing programs. These models will enable real-time lending decisions for hundreds of borrowers every month.
- Strong background in leveraging multiple complex data sources such as credit bureau information, customer supplied information, cash flow information, and alternative data sources at a large scale to build sophisticated credit and fraud models.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build a robust AI / ML model development platform for development as well as deployment of models into production environment.
- Coach and mentor team in evaluating new statistical and modeling approaches and alternate data sources to drive better credit decisions.
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Hands-on leader, who can provide vision to the team, and willing to roll up sleeves to code, develop models and coach team on writing better queries and develop sophisticated algorithms.
