About the Role
Works collaboratively across the supply chain to ensure National Grid purchases are compliant with policies, accurate and appropriate, and ensure a smooth end to end process.
Demonstrates knowledge and application of National Grid's business operations, company policies and practices and can support functions within Procure to Pay and supply chain end to end processes. Support all initiatives across Procure to Pay, driving improvements and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Support the need for purchasing goods and services while maintaining policy and procedural alignment throughout the supply chain
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
- Effective collaboration and partnership capabilities
- Excellent written / oral communication skills, follow through, and negotiation skills
- Be open to providing and receiving guidance, support and coaching to share knowledge and develop analytical understanding within discipline
- Ability to understand and apply policies and procedures to effectively manage purchasing risk
- Provide customer service to external suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Reviews accuracy of own work and checks that all details are complete
- Independently evaluates processes, consults more senior colleagues and supervisor where there is deviation from standards
