Job Description
Position Summary: To develop census of network facilities by determining the appropriateness of a resident admission through clinical evaluation, based upon criteria established by NHCA and the facility, to achieve financial and census objectives
Position Duties:
Performs on-site screening clinical assessments to determine appropriate sub-acute or long-term placement of residents by completion of a comprehensive assessment form
Participates in marketing plan meetings with Director of Admissions and Marketing and Administrator specific to primary facility, and perform assignments as delegated
Coordinates and facilitates appropriate admission to a NHCA facility
Educates family members, clients and prospective accounts regarding services and programs offered by NHCA facilities
Generates new referrals by establishing relationships social workers, case managers and other appropriate professional contacts within hospital accounts or other assigned accounts
Maintains relationships with all appropriate contacts in hospital and related accounts by establishing constant visibility within those assigned accounts
Assists with the development and maintenance of physician relations, as assigned
Spends time within key hospital accounts completing on-site assessments and marketing activities to both increase referrals from current accounts and develop referrals from new accounts
Assists the Admissions Department with the referral and admission process, as needed
Completes weekly, monthly and other reports, as assigned, in a timely and comprehensive manner
Assists with the coordination of discharge planning
Maintains current knowledge and understanding of client payment sources, i.e. HMO, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
Tracks and communicates competitive and market information as it becomes available
Recommends and assists in the development of enhanced services offered by NHCA facilities
Recommends and assists in the development of ideas to market new services to key accounts
Develops contacts with managed care plans and communicates relevant MCO information to Marketing Director and State Manager
Participates in the NHCA customer satisfaction program through the completion of CSI reports, when appropriate
Markets the assigned NHCA facility(ies) by participating in luncheons, lectures and related functions at key account locations and/or within NHCA facilities
Performance Standards:
Participates in weekly conference calls and related meetings, educational sessions, etc., as needed
Completes assessments tools thoroughly and within stated timeframes
Assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of quarterly marketing plans to support census goals
Completes weekly referral log summary, monthly nursing summary, monthly referring facility summary and other required reports
Conducts business in professional manner including appearance, ethical behavior and appropriate communication skills
Functions as a team player representing both primary facility(ies) and other NHCA facilities
Submits all reports in a timely manner
Qualifications
Work Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in a health care. Marketing experience preferred.
Education:
RN with appropriate licensure, preferred.
