Position Summary

The Director of Enterprise Delivery is a senior leadership role focused on executing IT strategy and delivering large, complex digital transformation projects. This position serves as a tactical player who ensures the effective execution of IT initiatives, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level project management, stakeholder alignment, and driving business value through technology solutions.

The Director of Enterprise Delivery will lead a high-performing team across IT project management and quality assurance functions, fostering collaboration and ensuring the successful delivery of critical systems and projects. This individual will also support the CIO in managing the IT department and driving efficiency across multiple technical domains.

This role is instrumental in ensuring the IT department delivers value-driven outcomes while fostering innovation and operational excellence. The Director of Enterprise Delivery will serve as a pivotal partner to the CIO, driving the organization toward its strategic goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :

Project Delivery and Execution :

  • Lead the successful execution of complex system projects and strategic programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting business objectives and aligning with broader organizational goals.
  • Develop and oversee project roadmaps for enterprise initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify risks and dependencies, mitigating them effectively.
  • Digital Transformation :
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives, modernizing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Promote and implement Agile and SAFe methodologies to ensure scalability and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage cloud, AI, and emerging technologies to innovate and meet business demands.

Leadership and Team Development :

  • Directly manage IT Projects Manager, Quality Assurance Team Lead, and other cross-functional leads to drive cohesive execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across teams.
  • Mentor and coach team members, developing the next generation of leaders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Collaborate with senior business leaders, program sponsors, and external vendors to ensure projects and programs align with strategic goals and deliver value to the organization.
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units, translating business needs into actionable technology strategies.
  • Strategic Program Management :

  • Oversee the delivery of key strategic programs comprising multiple interconnected projects to ensure cohesive execution and maximum impact.
  • Align program objectives with organizational strategy, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to achieve business outcomes.
  • Define and track program success metrics, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Provide leadership in resolving program-level risks, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Communicate program progress, milestones, and challenges to executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Implement standardized processes for project management, including metrics to track performance and quality.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs to monitor delivery effectiveness, resource allocation, and overall impact.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role will include :

  • Project Success Rate : 95% of projects delivered within agreed scope, time, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction : Achieve over 90% satisfaction rate on stakeholder feedback.
  • Delivery Efficiency : Improve project delivery timelines by 25% through enhanced processes.
  • Team Productivity : Increase team productivity by 30% through training, tool optimization, and process improvements.
  • Digital Adoption : Attain 80% adoption rate for digital transformation initiatives across departments.
  • Program Success Rate : 90% of strategic programs delivered within agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Organizational Alignment : Achieve measurable alignment between program outcomes and enterprise strategic goals, with 95% of programs meeting defined success criteria.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Ensure stakeholder satisfaction ratings for program delivery exceed 90%.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • 10 years of progressive experience in IT project management, digital transformation, or enterprise systems delivery.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Expertise in Agile, SAFe, and other project management methodologies.
  • Proven expertise in program management, overseeing strategic initiatives involving multiple projects, and ensuring cohesive execution.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
