Position Purpose:
The Compensation and Benefits Manager (HR Manager - Total Rewards) is responsible for managing, developing, communicating, administering, and maintaining all compensation and benefits programs in alignment with organizational policies, total rewards strategies, and state/federal laws/guidelines.
Work Arrangement and Description:
This is a hybrid position and the Reporting Location is NICB Headquarters (Oak Brook, IL). The individual will be provided with the privilege and flexibility to work away from NICB Headquarters, but will be required to report periodically in-person based upon business needs, subject to the discretion of their supervisor, and in compliance with NICB's rules and procedures.

- Manage benefits open enrollment process activities including, but not limited to, annual meetings, benefits education and communication, system updates, employee enrollments, and changes.
- Lead the day-to-day relationships with external vendors, third party administrators, benefit brokers
- Provide subject matter expertise to ensure all benefits, including retiree plans, are administered appropriately and compliant according to federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA compliance), and plan and company guidelines.
- Manage employee leave of absences, including but not limited to Paid Family Leave, Short-term Disability, and FMLA.
- Lead and administer the Employee Recognition Program
- Manage ADP HRIS system and benefits portals.
Compensation:
- Manage and administer annual merit cycle, bonus programs, and semi-annual promotion process using market-competitive salary guidelines. Ensure adherence to guidelines through training, coaching, and advising leaders.
- Responsible for compensation market pricing and analysis for exempt and non-exempt positions and external job offers to ensure market competitiveness and fair and equitable compensation practices across the company.
- Provide guidance on federal and state compensation related laws/guidelines and compensation best practices.
- Ensure accurate job descriptions are created/maintained in accordance with FLSA standards and organizational goals. Develop career paths as appropriate.
- Provide guidance to managers related to job analyses, job descriptions, and compensation benchmarking.
- Participate in periodic compensation surveys to determine competitive market position
- Complete all federal and state pay data reporting requirements.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7-10 years of HR experience, with progressive experience leading compensation and benefits programs.
- Must be highly proficient with Excel, including experience with advanced functionality (e.g., pivot tables, charts).
- Must be knowledgeable in multi-state and federal laws related to compensation and benefits
- Experience with HRIS required, ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- PHR/SPHR, CEBS, and/or CCP certifications preferred.
- Experience with building and maintaining SharePoint sites preferred.
Environment/Physical Demands:
- Some lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
- Minimal travel may be required.
Salary Range and Statement:
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $112,000. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
