GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the AED, the Community Impact Manager will be responsible for the local implementation and delivery of the National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) health impact outreach to patients, those at risk for kidney disease, and health professionals.
The Community Impact Manager will plan, deliver, and evaluate programs based on a carefully constructed needs assessment and ensure activities are aligned with the NKF New England’s public health strategy. The position will work closely with all area hospitals, departments of public health, and other local healthcare partners.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver NKF patient and health professional programs within the local community.
- Collect and create patient stories showing experiences including dialysis, transplant, living donation, and other important patient content.
- Manage all logistics related to professional education meetings, grand rounds in hospital settings and/or education sessions.
- Create a marketing strategy to deliver the appropriate audience based on the planned content and desired outcomes.
- Plan and manage delivery of health professional symposia according to accreditation guidelines. Plan and manage delivery of non-accredited programs for health professionals.
- Manage virtual program logistics including video capture, editing process, marketing strategy, and outcomes measures.
- Develop and coordinate activities to strengthen “World Kidney Day” public education campaign and other public awareness activities.
- Produce local reports on programs performance and provide feedback to management.
- Assist with advocacy outreach across New England working on programs with state and local reps and their staff.
- Assist with the local program budget.
- Performs additional duties, as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s in health-related or social services field, preferred.
- Minimum three year’s work related experience managing public education programs.
- Experience working for a non-profit health agency is preferred.
- Experience in grant proposal writing.
- Experience working with physicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers preferred
- Experience working with patients preferred
- Experience with CME/CE accreditation and guidelines
- Experience in Nephrology or Transplant preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.
- Fluent in Microsoft Word applications.
- Flexible for overnight business travel including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION
Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness while possessing a high degree of tact, discretion, and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintain effectiveness under pressure. Competency in use of a multiple-line telephone, personal computer, fax machine, photocopier, and other standard office equipment. Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed. Available for overnight business travel. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Salary : $62,700 - $79,300
