Are you a highly skilled Trust and Estate Paralegal with deep expertise in taxes and estate settlement? We're looking for a dedicated professional to join our team and help guide clients through the complexities of estate planning and administration. This is on site for a well established law firm in Hartford CT.

- Assist in the preparation and filing of estate tax returns (Form 706, 1041, etc.)
- Provide support with probate and non-probate estate administration, including asset identification, creditor claims, and distributions
- Prepare and maintain trust documentation, including amendments, funding, and distributions
- Coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and tax professionals to ensure timely filing and accurate reporting
- Communicate with beneficiaries and executors to provide updates and answer questions regarding estate matters
- Manage complex tax-related issues within estates and trusts, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
- Assist with the preparation of court filings and related documentation
- 3 years of experience as a Trust and Estate Paralegal
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state estate, gift, and income tax laws
- Strong understanding of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Experience working with probate courts, tax professionals, and financial institutions
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Paralegal certification and/or degree preferred but not require experience is just as valued, with a specialization in estate planning or taxation a plus
