What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inpt/Outpt Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, NP/PA position at National Medical Association?
ChristianaCare is hiring for an NP or PA to join our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team! The selected candidate will provide clinical care primarily in the inpatient setting with some outpatient time based on the needs of the practice and community. This role will include working with a PM&R physician to complete consultations on admitted patients at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Common consult requests are for spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury management, spasticity interventions, neuropathic pain treatment, pre and post-amputation treatment / planning, bracing needs, concussion management, and others. The provider will also be helping to cover half of the Center for Rehabilitation at Wilmington Hospital. In this role, the provider will manage up to 13 acute rehabilitation patients and admit and discharge as indicated.

For the outpatient setting, if needed, the selected candidate will provide care with patients transitioning from acute rehabilitation back into the community, treating brain injury patients (including concussion), working with prosthetic companies for amputee patients, and performing procedures as desired.
