Job Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. In order to be eligible, you must meet specific individual requirements outlined in VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage medical care for a panel of Veterans enrolled in Primary Care.
- Timely entry and use of the electronic medical record system for documentation, workload capture, alert management, and review of Veterans' current and future medical care needs.
- Cross-cover for other medical providers as needed throughout the health care system.
- Collaborate with PACT members to ensure the overall safety and quality of each Veteran's care.
- Responsible for all performance metrics related to patient quality of care.
- Participate in quality improvement, quality assurance, continuous survey readiness, and committee/work groups in collaboration with others.
- Meet ethical and professional standards as written in the Medical Staff Bylaws and ensure that work relations are in compliance with facility standards and expectations.
Work Requirements
- Driving and travel for Primary Care patient care coverage purposes will be required for this position to clinics throughout the health care system, which may be up to 75% of the time.
