Job Overview:
The Mortgage Coach will be responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring loan officers to improve their performance, enhance their sales strategies, and increase loan volume. This individual will work closely with leadership to set production goals, track progress, and hold loan officers accountable for achieving success. The ideal candidate has extensive mortgage industry experience, a passion for coaching, and a proven ability to develop high-performing loan officers.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan Officer Training & Development:
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship to new and experienced loan officers to improve their skills and production levels.
- Develop and implement structured onboarding and training programs for newly hired loan officers.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, role-playing exercises, and skill-building workshops focused on sales, prospecting, and customer service.
Performance Management & Accountability:
- Set clear, measurable goals for each loan officer and provide guidance on how to achieve them.
- Monitor and analyze loan officers’ pipeline, conversion rates, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Hold loan officers accountable for meeting production targets through one-on-one coaching, check-ins, and progress reviews.
- Identify areas of improvement and create personalized action plans to help loan officers overcome challenges.
Sales & Business Development Coaching:
- Teach loan officers effective prospecting techniques to generate leads and build strong referral networks.
- Provide guidance on building relationships with realtors, builders, and financial advisors to expand their client base.
- Train loan officers on consultative selling, objection handling, and customer experience strategies to improve closing rates.
- Share best practices for marketing, social media presence, and leveraging CRM tools for business growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in the mortgage industry as a loan officer, sales manager, or trainer/coach.
- Strong understanding of loan products, guidelines, compliance, and the mortgage sales process.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop loan officers to improve performance and productivity.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Experience working with CRM systems, loan origination software, and sales tracking tools.
