Mortgage HELOC Closer- In Office

Position Overview:

The Mortgage Closer is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the loan closing process. This role requires effective communication with clients, borrowers, internal staff, and relevant agencies to ensure all closing needs are met within established timelines. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, teamwork, and possess excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare, review, and generate closing documents according to client specifications, ensuring all compliance requirements are satisfied.
• Review and approve the Final HUD, collaborating closely with the designated Processor to resolve any issues.
• Address closing issues, implement system changes, and expedite corrections to support scheduled closings.
• Ensure all closing requirements are fulfilled within committed time frames.
• Verify that all documentation is error-free before distributing closing packages.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Maintain customer service survey ratings at levels set by management.

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in high-volume loan closings.
• Familiarity with HARP and conventional loan closing documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of the latest HUD/RESPA/GFE compliance regulations.
• Proficient in reviewing title commitments, validating closing conditions, and preparing and balancing HUD Statements.
• Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
• Strong computer skills in a paperless environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Availability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
