Logistics Coordinator
Job Description
•Initiate shipping process upon receiving pick list from warehouse
•Read Customer Purchase Order/email trail of customer orders and identify stated incoterms to proceed with shipping process
•Notify Customer Service Department personal assigned to the order if there is any variance with stated incoterms on PO and shipping instructions received from customer/intercompany/order entry groups.
•Prepare Commercial Invoice, Packing List & Certificate of Origin for Equipment/ Orders shipping out both domestic/international
•Liaise with Customer/Intercompany/assigned freight forwarder on the shipping movement and shipping documentation requirement
•Know the parties involved in shipping transactions including the freight forwarder
•Ensure required checks and balances are carried out to comply with stated Export Compliance requirements
•Follow outlined Logistics Process Map to incorporate step by step Logistics approach to shipping process to include billing
•Work with the company’s designated freight forwarders to improve performance and ensure on time shipments
•Organize and maintains hard copy and electronic documentation supporting shipping of orders handled by self in OnBase
•Insure safety and compliance requirements are followed in all Logistics activities
•Update Warehouse Manager and Lead with any logistic issues.
•Work closely with the following groups here at FMS Breen - Customer Order processing Groups/Purchasing Group/Warehousing Group/Import and Export Compliance Group.
•Assume control of Dispatching trucking, Internal or third party for outgoing sales orders and incoming Purchase orders.
•Assume control of Imports of product, coordinate with Freight forwarders to insure a timely/ best method and most efficient delivery of product.
•Fulfill any other tasks as and when assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
•Any other duties as required.
Requirements :
A minimum of 5 (five) years Transportation/Logistics experience preferred
Strong MS Office skills – Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
