PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train field operators and customers on running NOV equipment safely.
- Provide technical support to field operators and customers.
- Learn new tools and deliver training to customers.
- Coach Drillers and Rig Operators on the use of NOV equipment, control, and automation systems while in operations.
- Identify aspects for operational improvement to support performance needs and KPI requirements of drilling and well operations.
- Generate and advise customers on reporting functions.
- Take part in internal and external meetings to support planning sessions.
- Assist various groups within NOV to provide expertise in drilling procedures and operations for product improvement and automation assistance.
- Produce internal and external reporting and drilling data and provide it to appropriate personnel.
- International and Domestic travel required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of drilling operations experience
- Technical degree preferred
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience with drilling equipment and functionality
- Possess knowledge of Amphion/Cyberbase Control Systems
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems and Siemens PLC
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and networking
- Windows 7 and 10 configurations and network
