What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at National Pike Health Center, Inc.?
Job Description : Provide mental health support through individual or group therapy sessions. Assess clients needs develop treatment plans and implement therapeutic techniques to promote emotional wellbeing. Maintain client confidentiality document progress and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed. Requires relevant licensure and strong communication skills.
- Therapists are expected to be professional and ethical when handling client s issues. All therapists fulltime / parttime are to turn in their reports / notes weekly that meet COMAR regulations. The following services are to be provided to the clients and their families : Individual sessions Group sessions & Family sessions
- Therapists are to follow all policies on Dx Eval Tx Planning Clinical Services Referrals & Discharge Planning; services must be done on time.
- ITPs are due every 6 months; clients MAY NOT be served without a current ITP signed.
- Therapists are required to participate in agency meetings and trainings as well as maintain a current statemandated license to practice within their scope of practice.
- Therapists are required to provide the agency with updated personnel records necessary for the maintenance of the agency s human resources files.
- Therapists are required to sign an agency confidentiality agreement and comply with HIPAA regulations as it relates to National Pike Health Center Inc. medical records.
- Therapists are responsible for keeping updated and timely records of their clients files as indicated by COMAR regulations and agency standards.
- Therapy sessions are to last 45 minutes minimum.
- Therapy may be performed onsite or offsite.
