In this role, the main responsibilities of a Network Administrator will be to assist in the management of a complex network system and servers installed and running in the MS Windows environment including all technical responsibilities for various IT equipment within the WAN infrastructure and to be responsible for the administration and maintenance of crucial network related devices along with providing technical support for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities include:
• To provide primary support and maintenance for the credit union’s network systems. This includes implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software and ensuring all required reporting and logging is performed as required by policies and procedures.
• To provide support for both desktop and Citrix users operating in a Windows 365 environment. This includes coordinating and routing support ticket requests and ensuring that open issues are resolved as quickly as possible. Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, scanner, peripheral devices, and phone system issues as needed.
• To participate in short and long-range planning for the IT department and to identify appropriate technologies to meet the evolving needs of the credit union and its members.
• To communicate and coordinate IT related matters with other departments and display sound management practices, quality decision-making and insight.
The ideal candidate must have a strong working knowledge of multiple networks and telecommunication protocols within the LAN/WAN including Domain methodology, Active Directory, DHCP, Static Routing, QoS, VPN, VoIP, IP, routers, switches, firewalls and a working knowledge of security policies, protocol definitions, design, development, and deployment. Strong knowledge of Citrix, including Citrix Studio, and HP Thin Client configuration along with a good knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization, server deployment, and migration. Ability to ensure that all individual IT systems are compliant with all of the IT based policies and procedures by the use of security controls and access parameters using filter, anti-spam technology, virus protection, and other applicable and approved security controls.
