This is a remote position that requires working from home and traveling to job sites. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge of generators, automatic transfer switches, and diesel or gaseous engine components, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generator sets and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex issues related to generators, automatic transfer switches, and diesel or gaseous engine components.
- Conduct load bank testing on generators to ensure units are in proper operating conditions and meet applicable code requirements.
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete large multi-person jobs or resolve complicated issues.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in electrical/mechanical field preferred.
- Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
- Experience working with generators, automatic transfer switches, and diesel or gaseous engine components highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Good computer skills and comfort with Microsoft software.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75lbs and work in various weather conditions.
