Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Generator Maintenance Professional to join our team at National Power, LLC. As a Power Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment. You will work under the general direction of the Telecom Service Manager and will be required to troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches, perform preventative maintenance service, and conduct load bank testing on generators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a skilled Generator Maintenance Professional to join our team at National Power, LLC. As a Power Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of generator sets and other electrical equipment. You will work under the general direction of the Telecom Service Manager and will be required to troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches, perform preventative maintenance service, and conduct load bank testing on generators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform various types and levels of maintenance and repair on generators and parallel systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel or gaseous engine components, including ignition systems and injection systems.
- Conduct load bank testing on generators to ensure they meet applicable code requirements.
- Assist other technicians with large multi-person jobs or troubleshooting complicated issues.
- H.S. Diploma required; Associate degree in an electrical/mechanical related field preferred.
- Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
- US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician's Mate, or Generator and/or UPS field service technician preferred.
- The technician may be required to work in various weather conditions.
- Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
