We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team!
Position Summary:
The Warehouse (Pick, Pack, Ship) Associate is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders to ensure timely and error-free deliveries. This role requires a high level of attention to detail to verify item quantities, bin/location data, and shipping labels, ensuring accuracy in inventory management systems. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient workspace, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Accurately pick customer orders from bins or locations, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
- Pack orders securely, verifying item counts and labeling packages with precision to prevent shipping errors.
- Prepare shipments by loading and wrapping skids, ensuring compliance with shipping requirements and carrier specifications.
- Use warehouse management systems to update inventory records during picking and shipping processes, ensuring data accuracy.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits, verifying bin/location quantities to support accurate inventory tracking.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, removing waste materials (e.g., packaging) to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
- No supervisory duties
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Ability to use warehouse management systems (preference for experience with RF-Smart and NetSuite) to process inventory transactions with a focus on data accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for updating inventory records and printing shipping labels.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery (training provided if needed).
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Prior experience working in a warehouse, specifically in pick, pack, and ship roles.
- Preference for candidates with experience using RF-Smart and NetSuite for inventory management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, as the role involves handling various warehouse items.
- The position is predominantly in the warehouse, where temperature conditions can vary (e.g., hot in summer, cold in winter).
- Role requires constant standing, walking, and moving around to pick and pack orders, often in a fast-paced environment.
- Employee safety and self-awareness must be utilized at all times around warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
